    Designed to absorb changes in loss of timing belt tension caused by variations in engine temperatures, speed or the general wear and aging of the belt. Maintaining belt tension at a constant level reduces noise, prevents belt flapping, and ensures proper timing effectiveness throughout the entire service life of the belt.     The Dayco molded heater hose is constructed with knitted reinforcement and synthetic EPDM compounds for high strength performance and resistance to detrimental environmental elements, coolants and temperature variations of -40°F (-40°C) to +257°F (+125°C). In addition to meeting SAE J20R4, Class D-1 requirements, this hose is designed to meet Type EC electro-chemical requirements as specified in SAE J1684.  With a “quick connect” end (where applicable) assembled onto the hose for fast, convenient installation, you can avoid the hassle of buying a separate connector and clamp.

The inner base tube is reinforced with knitted rayon for maximum strength and burst resistance for the life of the hose. In addition to meeting SAE J20R4, Class D-1 requirements, this hose also meets Type EC electro-chemical requirements as specified in SAE J1684, which prevents inner tube deterioration caused by the build-up of static electric charges.
